Same Eyes

I am not sure if it is
Your razor sharp wit
The kindness in your eyes
Or how much you make me want to
Do
and Be
Right

The example you have set
Or the man you will become
The hope of an amazing future

It makes me believe you will be
The man to enhance my life

To challenge me to grow as a woman
As a child of God
Mother and friend

If only you saw me
With the same eyes

And I could be that too
