it just hurts
no redeeming quality
no real lesson to be learned
just pain
deleting the pictures
as if the recycle bin
will erase my memory
of all thoughts of you
doing the right thing
isn't always easy
sometimes the fire
is worth risking the burn
I see your eyes
when I close mine
I miss your smile
your voice singing our songs
this just hurts
and I pray that God will help me
not to miss you
not to love you this way
